Skiing across Harriman State Park!

Our friends Milo and Brittany, (the couple on the right--they are dating...) invited us and our friends Michelle and Greg (couple in the middle) to join them in a cross-country skiing adventure to Harriman State Park. Someone told Milo there was a lake you could ski to that has swans on it year round. We rented skis from the school and went on Saturday.

It took us a minute to find our "ski legs..." But once we got the hang of it, Colton was doing all kinds of professional maneuvers.

Colton takes a break from his fancy foot-work to pose for a picture with me.

Greg and Michelle are getting ready to blase a trail for us.

Somehow, Milo kept ending up being stuck in snow up to his ears.

And he dragged down anybody that tried to lend him a hand. (Brittany attempting to help Milo)

We skied for about a mile and a half before we got to Silver Lake. Milo's sources were correct! There was a gaggle of swans just chillin' on the lake!

This one heard Milo falling down and flailing in the snow and flew the coop.

This guy was sent to stand watch while the rest blew their cover with stupid girly habits. (Name that Quote...)

It was a beautiful day to be in the mountains.

Each couple raced each other. Obviously, some of us took the competition pretty seriously!

The First Month

Here are a few photos from our first month.
(January)

We moved into our nice house and soon realized that when you get married you have a ton more stuff--like two times more! So the stuff spent some time in the living room. We also used one of the boxes as our table for the first week.

Things slowly came together and we got a new TV in the mail!

We made pretzels for one of our date nights, but they didn’t turn out very well. It was more like waterlogged bread.

We got an indoor s’more maker that uses Sterno as a flame.

Kyle and Chloe, the newlywed couple that lives under us in the basement, are from California and “don’t” know how to use a shovel. So they let the snow compact and turn into ice before we moved in. We don’t like driving on ice so we removed as much as we could on the first "warm" day we got.

We had to try out our new little ice cream bowls. Yes, we still like to eat ice cream even when we live in the frozen city of Ice... I mean Rexburg, Idaho.

We got the game TICKET TO RIDE. (So much fun!) We invited some friends over to play it with us.

Oh, and in this photo you can see our table that we inherited--Thanks Jeff and Chelsea--and the new computer Colton built for his parents.

For our honeymoon we where given the book "Princess Bride", so for our one month anniversary Malea got the movie.
