Settling In...

After the smell of our newly finished tub aired out of our apartment, we realized that we had a much bigger problem--cat pee! Over the last few weeks the carpet guys have come numerous times and tried numerous things to get rid of the stench. They replaced the pads, cleaned the carpets several time (even front and back), and finally ended up replacing the tack strips and treating the cements. We are happy to say that we are just a little over a week out from the last treatment and still haven't smelled any cat pee. We are just now daring to hope that we have finally been victorious! (Although that doesn't stop us from wanting to kick a cat every time we see one... ;)

Our favorite movie theater in town is the Regal 16! It is just like a expensive theater, but only  cost $2! And sometimes we get the whole place to ourselves!

After our cruise, we had a week to get important things done before Colton started work.

We took that time to visit places like Hobby Lobby... (We were these for our wedding???)

And the Bass Pro Shop!

Hello outdoorsman's paradise!

Malea acts like a casual browser, but...

She was really just waiting for the opportune moment to catch the big one (the one that got away from everyone else... ;)!

Our next important stop was at Cici's Pizza All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.

Having finished our most important errands, we decided to kill some time by shopping for a bike for Colton to ride to work.

Colton may have taken a little long deciding, but Malea found ways to keep herself entertained!

After much deliberation, Colton finally settled on a 26-speed Road Master.

We also go for a lot of walks on the trail near our house. Sometimes we see all kinds of wildlife!

Colton's first few days of work were spent in NEO (New Employee Orientation).

Mother's Day

Colton got a bead sorter, acrylics, and watercolors for Mother's day. I have always wanted to try out these paints, so I very excited!

Sorting the beads.

Mother's Day call from Elder Potter!

Other Fun!

We decided to go exploring one day and ended up in a outdoors store that had tiny tents!

Later, some friends (Adam and Kendra Jones) in the ward invited us over for dinner and games.

While we were walking back home, Malea nearly stepped on some critter in the grass. She squealed and danced around until she realized what it was. Then she picked it up, but didn't kiss it because what would she do with 2 Prince Charmings??? ;)

When Malea needs a puppy fix, we go visit our other friends who have 2 pit bull puppies.

They are very sweet and just want to kiss you and love you!

Just Because...

And sometimes you just have to try on the sparkly leopard-spotted shoes just to say that you did.

Or the spider bling...

Because it would complement any outfit...

And it's also a watch! Practical and trendy all rolled up into one!

And you might even find yourself in the Sears Outlet store looking at appliances. Why...? Just because!

As a general rule, you should avoid the kiosk sales booths in the mall, unless...

They happen to be housing a Hermit Crab city!

Pre-Birthday :)

Colton couldn't wait for his birthday. He has been wanting these for a while...

Two cables that allow us to push the sound from our TV out of our amp and speakers! Of course he wanted to get that set right up! :)

Happy Birthday!

We celebrated Colton's birthday a little bit everyday for the whole weekend.
On Saturday, we went to dinner at Olive Garden, and played at the Microsoft and Mac stores in the mall.

On Sunday, we had some friends over for Better-Than-Anything cake and ice-cream.

On Monday, we shopped around for some luggage to replace the one that was damaged on our cruise, and went to a party for Memorial Day with some friends we met at the temple.
On Tuesday, his presents came in the mail! First was a new lunchbox... (Who invited that kid? ;)

The second was a Dragon fruit plant.

Pommie also decided to give Colton a cute little blossom for his birthday.

And somewhere in all that, we made breadsticks.

And tasty, stuffed-crust, chicken-alfredo pizza!

Potpourri

Our friends Sergii (pronounced Ser-gay) and Maria dropped by one day because their pool was closed for maintenance.

Maria thought it would be cool to float some hibiscus flowers in the pool.

Maria didn't really want to swim though, so I just sat and chatted with her since I had already been swimming once that day with some ladies from my ward. (Maria also likes to put flowers in my hair whenever she gets the chance...)

Even though we looked several times, we still hadn't found the suitcase we wanted to replace our other one, so we decided to go out one more time.
On our way, we saw this guy...

"I don't always ride a tricycle, but when I do..."

Burlington Coat Factory had the widest selection we could find. The trick was to narrow it down to our one favorite.
